Our client is a fast growing international Group specialized in complex Food Ingredients. In order to support the organic growth, the company is expanding its team. Apart from strengthening the sales department, the R&D department is also being expanded to further penetrate the German market. Therefore, we have an immediate full-time position available for a SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPER (m/f/d) with extensive knowledge in the application and development of enzymes and other sophisticated ingredients for bread and bakery products.

These tasks await you:

  • Conducting bread and bakery R&D projects.
  • Developing product (re)formulations and recipes.
  • Building strong interdisciplinary relationships, including with marketing, sales, quality assurance, production, engineering, and other departments.
  • Evaluating new ingredients, materials, products, and processes.
  • Performing laboratory-scale experiments, consumer tests, pilot trials, and validation tests.
  • Accompanying customers during tests (including on-site) and making adjustments in collaboration with sales representatives.
  • Lead the R&D Team

These are your professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Master Baker or Pastry Chef.
  • Over 5 years of experience in formulating bakery products, including fermented products and enzymes.
  • Outstanding project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as required (Group sites as well as clients who need help and expertise)
  • Language skills: Fluent or native German, proficient in spoken and written English.
