In another business area for lithium batteries, the company already has technology and production facilities in Asia, but is on the way to expand the business to Europe with own production, sales organization and application technology laboratory. Director Application Technology Europe (m/f/d)
 

These tasks await you:

  • Responsibility for application technology and product tailoring in order to obtain product performance with each customer in close cooperation with the Business Divisions and their Sales / Marketing areas
  • Development of the specification of the products
  • Establishment and management of an application technology laboratory
  • Manage all aspects of application technology to tailor products based on customer specifications (formulation, blending, mixing)
  • Support in the creation of long-term product concepts as well as derivation and planning of individual tasks in cooperation with R&D of the mother company
  • Establish, develop, and maintain supplier and co-manufacturer relationship, networking with institutional research & dev organizations within EUR and USA and representation in relevant committees and association, lectures in international conferences on energy
  • Develop creative and technical solutions to product development challenges

These are your professional qualifications:

  • Completed natural science studies (Master, diploma or PhD), preferably with focus on  chemistry, material science or similar  
  • Experienced, internationally active manager from the chemical segment or structurally similar areas of the process industry
  • Experienced in the formulation and technology of high-performance chemicals for battery applications at the interface with customers/ suppliers.
  • Knowledge of the chemistry of raw materials and formulations in the segment electrodes and batteries
  • International mobility and very good English language skills. 
  • Confident handling of common office applications and specific software (LIMS)
  • Assertive and communicative leader with team orientation and appreciative leadership
  • Intercultural Competence
  • Very well-structured way of working, high problem-solving skills and initiative
  • Reliable personality with the ability to find pragmatic and customer-oriented solutions to complex challenges
